After finishing inter science from Wilson college, Vijaya got admission in Armed Forces medical college, Pune with the help of Hon. Late Mr. Y.B. Chavan,then Defense Minister of India. After 1ST year of MBBS came to Grand Medical college. Dr Bhimrao was doing his M.S. (Gen. Surgery). After finishing his M.S. he left to UK for further studies for FRCS. Vijaya joined him later.While Dr. Bhimrao did his FRCS, Vijaya also did her training in Gynaecology and passed MRCOG in obstetric and gynaecology.
